Goal:

- To disseminate the historical knowledge associated mainly with the Silesian Fortified Area (OWS, Obszar Warowny Śląsk) in Poland and abroad by encouraging visitors to sightsee the facilities and radio operators to operate amateur radio stations installed at selected objects deployed on the Area,

as well as visit other landmarks associated with the history of Silesia.

- To promote the culture and traditions of the Silesian region in Poland and abroad by fostered by making contacts with amateur radio operators

on all the continents.

About our Programme:

This Programme was conceived based on the our SP9YFF Group’s experiences drawn from our participation in other world-wide amateur radio programmes, e.g.

World Wide Flora & Fauna and World Castles Award

In co-operation with the following:

- Polish Amateur Radio Union, Katowice Branch (OT-06 PZK)

- “Pro Fortalicium” Association for Historical Fortifications

- SP9ZPS "POSMYK" Scouting Communications Club of the ZHP Piekary Śląskie Troop
